Oy.

I was debating over whether or not to call it a night and just find out with the rest of the world tomorrow morning, who our new president is. Cnn.com (hmmm, do you capitalize a web address if it is at the beginning of a sentence?) is reporting Bush at 249 electoral votes and John Kerry at 242 electoral votes. It is such a close race. This is nowhere near the landslide "In Your Face Bushie, pack it up!" I was hoping for. About five minutes ago I walked over to the television set to look at NBC news. Tom Brokaw is refusing to re-color Ohio as undecided. He is standing by his jump-the-gun decision to call the state in favor of Georgie. He sends the camera to their decision room, where all of the states are analyzed. The electorial think tank, if you will. The camera focuses on a very serious looking reporter guy in a very serious suit and behind him is some guy, who obviously has no idea he is on camera and supposed to be looking serious. I know this because he has his shirtsleeves rolled up, he's lounging in his chair, with his back to the camera, and he is attempting to play a game of Cat's Cradle with himself while he laughs at something somebody near him has said. And people wonder why it is so hard to take the news seriously. I'm going to bed.
