Nothin' Like A Shanty

I have decided that I am going to build a shanty in our back yard.

Why a shanty? Well because an actual shed is too much work and a tarp-tent is far too flimsy. (I am having to/too issues) I decided this earlier this afternoon as I sat outside in the Pms-tacular Oregon weather and waited for my very late bus to arrive.

I was sitting there, and for a few minutes the sun would shine right at me and I'd be toasty and on the verge of needing to take my sweatshirt off. Then it would get cloudy and the "it's about to rain" breeze would dance past my face, cooling me off. I would feel extremely glad that I had kept the sweatshirt on. Is there any sensation more perfect than the cool tingly "There will soon be water falling from the sky" breeze? It makes me want to curl up on a comfy chair with a blanket and read. Even when you sit inside with all of the windows open, the feeling of the air isn't the same.

Therefore: shanty.

What a perfect day: Sitting outside, under a shelter, while rain falls all around me. Just me, a comfy chair, a blanket, a book and some type of roof structure to keep the book from getting soaked.

In other happy news: I have finally updated the sidebar!
