It's All About the Movies Deer

This afternoon we watched Alien Vs Predator. Some action, Little plot, Zero thinking. Not too shabby for a Sunday afternoon movie, but I meant it when I said I liked Princess Diaries 2 better. I did see many good previews for promising movies, though, so the experience was not a total loss.

Tonight we watched Career Opportunities on DVD. Have I mentioned I love Frank Whaley? Oh, I have? Well here's some news for you, then: I lurve Frank Whaley! This movie is short and cute. It made me laugh, and maybe it's worth buying. It's definitely worth looking at a second time. There's a scene when Frank and Jennifer dance that is so sweet I had to look away. Seriously--the level of "awwwwwww" in me was so alarming I had to look at my lap.

I went for a walk tonight after dinner and saw a whole herd of deer (okay, I saw 8 but that's still a lot!). It's kind of like encountering a little bit of magic, sitting there on the ground and having the deer come almost close enough to touch. It's always hard to move and startle them when they get too close. I want to be allowed to pet them, but I don't want them to not be scared of me. Deer need to be scared of people. It's how they know to stay away from hunters.

Okay I think I am going to go watch my movies one more time before I have to send them back tomorrow. Viva La Netflix!
