Today Mom and I went to see Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban. It was absolutely fabulous, and now I'm all anxious for the fourth movie. I hope the same director sticks with it. I always feel a little bit sorry for both the makers of these movies and the people who only see the films and neglect the books. Rowling packs so much into these books that to get all of the details and sub plots and tangents into each movie, well each movie would be it's own trilogy at least! I always feel bad for whoever it is that has to decide which parts are the most integral to the plot and must be in the movie. And kudos to them for so far making three very good adaptations. I will say, though that this last one is by far my favorite. The performances were so spot on that I sort of forgot I was watching a movie, and that's always a good thing. I wish I could talk more about the movie, but I don't want to spoil it for anybody who hasn't gone to see it yet. For those of you who haven't: GO. It's worth it. I'd see it again next weekend, but next weekend has already been reserved for Farenheit 9/11. I love the previews for this latest "take" on the Bushian era and I am pretty sure that it will fuel my "W Bad" philosophy. It has been said that this is not supposed to be seen as a documentary but simply as Michael Moore's take on everything. So far I've mostly agreed with his takes, so I am anxious to see if I agree with this or if it makes even Me raise the ol' eyebrows and go "Ummm....okay?" I think tomorrow I will spend smashing my boxes back against the wall of my room (like any good procrastinator, I have put off packing for as long as possible--and will continue to do so until I can go buy some shelves) and possibly working on this blog. I have much to update and some minor tweakage to do. I love tweaking this blog, I don't spend nearly enough time doing it :)
