In just a few hours I have to get back up to go to My Very First Staff Meeting. I had to capitalize that because it really sounds like something that should be marketed by Playskool. "My Very First Staff Meeting! Make corporate conformity fun with our new Office In A Box! Little Jimmy and Jenny will have hours of fun making important phone calls on our "real" multi-line phone, and sending faxes on our rubber stamp fax machine! Buy yours at your local Toys R Us today!" I am actually excited though. I played office as a kid. Honestly. My friend and I would spend hours writing up forms that we'd then fill out, answering pretend phone calls, and filing fake client rosters that we'd meticulously hand write. And then we'd play a rousing game of Jeapardy on my family's Radio Shack Tandy Computer. Yes seriously. It was great fun. If we won the dream cruise vacation, we'd go swimming in the apartment complex's pool and pretend we were on a Carnival Cruise boat. Yes I was a nerd. Am still a nerd and I wear that nerd badge proudly. So here I go, to get some rest before I join the ranks of the GrownUply Employed. I can't wait.
